Dear Parents, As we reach our free weekend, I wanted to take this opportunity to share more about the incredible experiences we've had together this summer so far. On NCSY LEAD, we often discuss the difference between doing chessed and living chessed. Doing chessed involves specific acts of kindness, while living chessed means making kindness an integral part of who you are. It’s about seeing the world through a lens of giving, always seeking ways to help those around you—in school, among friends, in the community, within Am Yisrael, throughout the world, and perhaps most importantly, at home. This summer the girls have truly embraced this philosophy. Their endless dedication to the children at the Kfar and to each other on NCSY LEAD has been remarkable. They embody the values of LEAD, and we are so proud to have such outstanding leaders within the Jewish community. Every day, the girls organize a wide range of activities for the kids at the kfar, such as basketball, soccer, dodgeball, frisbee, art projects, baking, dance, water games, and more. They frequently share meals and go on trips together, creating bonds that extend beyond the daily activities. The love, warmth, and care the girls show these children is truly heartwarming. The impact they have is evident in how the kids come knocking at our door throughout the day, eagerly waiting to spend time with them. On Thursday night, Miri, a dedicated worker at the children's village, expressed how hopeful she feels for the Jewish people seeing these girls come to Israel purely to do good and help others. I couldn’t agree more and find myself deeply inspired by their dedication and kindness. Thank you for entrusting us with your incredible daughters. We look forward to continuing this journey of growth and chessed together. Shabbat Shalom! Shoshana Director of NCSY LEAD
